They are the game voices: The Sports Media Day at the FIFA Fan Fest™

The play-off stage is in progress! Two more teams proceeding to the 1/4 Final have been selected at the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018™.

After a magical victory of the Russian national team an unbelievable emotionally charged atmosphere has been continuing on the Volgograd Central Embankment. The 19th day of the FIFA Fan Fest™ was dedicated to the Sports Media. And on the giant screen the visitors could enjoy the broadcasts of the 1/8 Final matches: Brazil vs Mexico and Belgium vs Japan.

Young stars of sports journalism and already legendary voices – many fans cannot even imagine watching football matches without these people. The Volgograd citizens have proved that they know the commentators very well! The guests of the event on the Central Embankment have easily and brilliantly answered all questions of the quiz and even managed to tell the commentator’s name by one of his catch phrases.

From Nikolay Ozerov to Viktor Gusev and Vladimir Stognienko – the local commentators of different times fostered love towards football in thousands of Russian citizens. These people support our teams together with us, are much concerned of the football players and decorate each broadcast with their popular quotations. Many Volgogradians and the city guests have joined the event dedicated to a Sports Journalist Day.

A new record high in attendance was set at the FIFA Fan Fest™ - half a million people have already visited the Venue on the Central Embankment. The 500000th visitor turned out to be Igor Brazhnikov from Samara. The lucky one was invited and accompanied to the stage where a Diploma and presents were granted to him!

An ocean of true football emotions was provided by the teams. Thousands of people, without a breath, followed the actions at the stadiums in Samara and Rostov-on-Don.

Brazil 2 – 0 Mexico;
Belgium 3 – 2 Japan.

There are only 2 matches of 1/8 Final of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018™ left. Tomorrow there will be the following struggles: Sweden vs Switzerland, Columbia vs England.
